Why I started the Network
A lot of what I know about run clubs, I learned by talking to other run club leaders.
I’m Ben, a full-time run club leader and the founder of RUN-N-RAVE in Berlin. I started sharing everything I was learning from building the club because I literally couldn’t find anybody else explaining how they were doing it.
Then run club leaders from all over the world started writing to me with the same kinds of questions. How do I get people to show up? How do I build a team? How do I talk to sponsors? How do I make the club financially sustainable without taking the fun out of it?
There are lots of answers to those questions, and usually another run club leader has already tried something you can learn from. That is why I started the Network: to share those conversations and make it easier for run club leaders to learn from each other.
What happens inside
Real conversations with people who are building run clubs.
I host free online workshops with run club leaders from different places. We talk about their club, what they have tried and what has made a real difference. Then we open up the conversation so you can ask questions, add your own experience or just listen.
Topics include
- Starting a run club and getting people to show up
- Building a team and collaborating with other clubs
- Growing without losing what makes the club fun
- Working with sponsors and brand partners
- Making the club financially sustainable
There isn’t a fixed weekly schedule. New workshops are announced in the Heylo group, where members can also post questions and talk to each other.

I share what I know because it’s fun and it helps people.
Every time I talk to another run club leader, I learn something too. Sharing what we have learned has never taken anything away from RUN-N-RAVE. The club has grown, more people have come to the runs and we have worked with way cooler partners.
So I don’t see a reason to keep the useful information secret.
Network and coaching
Need more support with your own club?
The Network is a place to hear new ideas, join the workshops and learn from other run club leaders.
If you want regular support with your own club, whether you are trying to get started, build a team, grow or work with partners, we can focus on that together in the 1:1 coaching. We talk every week, decide what to do next and check in again after you have tried it.
Tell me what is going on with your club. If I think one answer or a free workshop is enough, I’ll tell you.
A few things you might want to know.
Is the Network free?
Yes. You can join the group and take part in the workshops without paying for coaching.
Do I need to have a run club already?
No. Some people join before their first run. Others have been leading a club for years.
Where does the Network happen?
The Network is hosted on Heylo. That is where new workshops are announced and where members can post and talk to each other.
